Homeboyz striker impressed with team despite defeat
The lone goal scorer in Kakamega Homeboyz’s 2-1 loss to Thika United on Sunday evening Paul Odhiambo says that he is happy with how the team is progressing despite losing in their second league match.
Odhiambo who was a constant thorn in the Thika defense says the team is great but will only need to polish their finishing.
“When you lose too many chances upfront, the opponents are always motivated to make their chances count at the extreme end. That is an area we really have to concentrate on because we lost so many chances against Thika, and ended up paying the price for it,” he notes.
“However, I am happy with our team because we have shown what we can do. We play very good football and everyone can see that. We only need to polish a few areas then we will be okay. We performed really well against Thika, which was an even better game from the one we played against Karuturi,” Odhiambo told Michezoafrika.com.
Odhiambo was signed by Homeboyz at the begirnning of the season from Rangers. Odhiambo was dropped from AFC Leopards last year before moving to Oserian. At Oserian, he was again axed and he had to finish the season at Rangers, which was relegated.
He now vows to prove his worth with Homeboyz.
