Shabana FC surged into fourth place in the FKF Premier League on Sunday with a convincing 4-2 win over FC Talanta at Dandora Stadium. Braces from Brian Michira and Austin Odongo powered the Glamour Boys to a well-earned victory, piling more pressure on a struggling Talanta side.
Odongo opened the scoring in the 24th minute after capitalizing on a defensive error, before Michira made it 2-0 from the penalty spot eight minutes later. Talanta pulled one back through Cyprian Mang’eni just before halftime.
Despite a spirited start to the second half, Talanta’s hopes were dashed when Odongo scored his second after a dazzling solo run in the 61st minute. Substitute Hassan Mohamed gave Talanta a lifeline with a goal in the 67th minute, but Michira sealed the win late on after a slick counterattack.
