Marigas brother Thomas Wanyama in France for trials
Sofapaka's defender Thomas Ghumba Wanyama “Heskey” is in France for one month for a series of trials with a series of clubs that includes Dennis Oliech’s AJ Auxerre.
Thomas’s brother Victor Mugabe confirmed to michezoafrika.com that indeed his brother is in France for trials with a number of clubs.
The pacy right full back and former Nairobi City Stars defender is younger brother to Inter Milan’s Macdonald Mariga and Victor Mugabe of Germinal Beerschot,Belgium both who turn out for the national team, Harambee Stars.
He is also an alumni of Kamukunji High School, a school famed for producing soccer talents that include; Jamal Mohammed, Geoffrey Kokoyo, Andrew Oyombe,Dennis Oliech and MacDonald Mariga.
On an interview with K24’s Eye Witness Sports, Sofapaka’s General Manager gave a confirmed interest for his clubs players from European and other African clubs. Midfielder Humphrey Mieno is being courted by Super sports United of South Africa while Anthony Kimani could be headed to Canada.
In other transfer news , Gor Mahia’s George “Blackberry” Odhiambo is rumored to be headed for Danish Superliga from January but details on the club remain a secret until a deal has been signed.
